Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Loved it!
I can understand other people's anger at the way Karin ended the book, however, I think she has left it open if she wants to come back to it. We don't actually know 100% what the outcome was, and she could come back to it when she gets some more inspiration. I really enjoyed the book, and I think it was a great eye-opener at some of the problems in the Deep South with racism and prejudice. It was quite educational, especially with problems that Barack Obama is facing, and these are the sort of people he is up against. She writes in such a manner that you can believe what is being said and how it is being said. I love her style and the fact that she keeps you on the edge of her seat. There are also complaints that she focused on Lena too much. ... Read More:

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not The Best In The Series
In Skin Privilege Lena Adams returns to the small town of her youth, where she becomes the prime suspect in a vicious murder. It is up to her boss, police chief Jeffrey Tolliver, and his wife, Sara Linton, to prove her innocence. Their case is not helped, though, when Lena goes on the run.

This book deals more with the character Lena Adams, than the other books in the series, and I found it quite a depressing read. It's not that I don't like Lena's character, but I feel the author really piles on the misery in this one.

As for the storyline itself, I found that it was quite slow moving for the most part, and only really got me hooked towards the end. Overall, an okay read, but there are better books in the Grant County ... Read More:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - SHOCKING !
One or two people have put massive spoilers in some of their reviews for this book so unfortunately I knew what was coming and when it did it was totally shocking. If you have followed the `Grant County' series from book 1 (Blindsighted) through to this possibly final one (I say possibly because I've read somewhere that Karin Slaughter is taking a few years off from `Grant County'), you will have appreciated how as a writer Slaughter has matured and developed her characters. This is especially so in the fifth book (Faithless) in which she incorporates Sara and Jeffrey first meeting into the up to date story and gives the reader great insight into their relationship which puts into perspective some of the feelings and emotions of the previous books, ... Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Grant County bore
Sorry, but not a very good book. It was almost written by numbers, or following a methods. I think that the early dialogue between Lena and Sarah was meant to intrigue but I found it particularly irritating.

The sex scenes and the LOVE between the main protagonists did not come through very naturally.

The story picked up at the end, but until then it was slow and much of the dialogue was

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Twisted ending,How dare you, Karin?
I loved the whole of the 'Grant County' series, but the end to this one is way too twisted. How dare you do this, Karin?
I am hoping Karin Slaughter will have something else on teh Grant County as I don't think I will be able to read any of the other series.
If you have not read any of her books please do they are absolutely fantastic and you would not want to put it down until you have read the entire book.

Good work though, more grease to your elbow!
