- A helpful Publication
It was my first step to start. In a short period of time, It would be possible to obtain very valuable and useful ideas about the concept of image processing through well described mathematical analysis of matrices and image.
By the descriptions in this book the scinece of image processing, which seems rather complicated becomes more touchable and more understandable.

- Excellent textbook for introductory image processing theory
This book follows a question/answer approach with multiple worked examples for each topic, something which is lacking in many other textbooks. Unlike other textbooks which simply state the mathematical theory, this textbook demonstrates the application in several examples, which then allows the reader to apply it in a more complex setting. In this respect it is excellent for self-directed study. Professors Petrou and Bosgognianni write clearly and illustrate applications for each image processing algorithm or technique. I would reccomend this to any student of image processing.
