- A great little book
A cracking little book for the total newcomer to slow cooking. A good selection of recipes, clear and easy to follow. Would highly recommend

This is a fine, basic recipe book, but not particularly inspirational or exciting. The recipes I have tried have worked out well, though!

The good stuff:
This is a great recipe book. Annette Yates has created some lovely (and no doubt delicious) slow cooker recipes, which she presents in an easy-to-follow format. The introductory section on slow cooker "theory" teaches you how to adapt "standard" recipes for your slow cooker, which is great.

I enjoyed her friendly style and believe that meat and fish eating families would find this book an invaluable guide to start them on their slow cooker journey.

The "but"...
However, as a vegetarian, I was disappointed to see how few recipes were vegetable based. There is a chapter called "vegetarian and vegetables", but many of the recipes include ... Read More:

- Handy little book
I really liked this book it gave me a few more ideas to use in my new slow cooker, I do miss the photo's but if you just want a little handy book for the kitchen its a great buy.

I've tried quite a few of the recipe's from this book and found them all lacking in flavour and very bland. If you are a good cook (unlike me) then you'll probably know what to add to make the dishes more flavoursome but then again, if you are a good cook you probably wouldn't even need a recipe book!
