I am surprised Amazon is still offering the Tiger edition of this book, when the Leopard edition has been out for some time now.

i have never owned a Mac and still don't but iam considering a switch from pc. i am considering getting a new laptop, and getting a mac never even occured to me untill i accidentally bumped into tv commercial 'get a mac' while browsing smth on the net. from there i got to Apple site and read a bit more about Mac and their OS. i got really intrigued and after searching the net for reviews from those who switched and info on differences in Os windows ans macintosh, macs started to appeal to me even more. so b4 getting one i decited to buy this book, so i can picture the differences for myself in a bit more detail.

I finally took the plunge this Christmas and left the murky world of Windows behind for the greener pastures of the Core 2 Duo iMac. It's been a blast so far and I have to say I won't be going back. However, the job of transferring stuff from my old PC to my new iMac would have taken me ages if it weren't for this book.

Cleverly written to be straight forward without ever being patronising, it takes you through everything you ned to know to move (virtual) house and home and acclimatise yourself to your colourful, slick new surroundings. It helped me to transfer all my documents and pictures using my modem router; import my favourites, address book entries and e-mail accounts; set up the mac the way I wanted it; capture my Christmas ...
