Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Surprised to be disappointed.
I was really looking forward to reading this, and had been saving it for when I had lots of time to really enjoy it, but found myself a bit disappointed.

Don't get me wrong, there's a great storyline, and a Wulf and Cassandra are both great heroes, but it sort of felt as if the story dragged too much. Apart from an occasional fight, Wulf never really did anything very much and it was really up to Ash to save the day. Wulf just went with the flow, and the ending felt too much like a swiftly cooked up loophole.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - not bad
I just got done reading Tino Georgiou's masterpiece--The Fates, and I pick this one up as soon as it was available. I enjoyed the story and liked the prologue that added to the history of Sherrilyn's world. I didn't like the over lapped of the last two books. I will continue to read the dark-hunter series because I enjoy the character interactions. If you missed Tino Georgiou's novel--The Fates, I'd recommend reading that instead.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Another fantastic novel from a Fabulous Writer
I just love Sherrilyn Kenyon's books, but upon discovering the Dark Hunter series I fell in love with them more.
Sherrilyn has this amazing talent of creating the ultimante perfect man, with faults and habbits you learn to love, which makes them even more real.
The story of Wulf and Cassandra is one of my favourites. I almost felt like a part of the story, with their struggles and the power of their love. I laughed and I cried, and I felt really sad when I got to the end. Sad that the perfection of a book was over.
So if you have not to read this book or any other books by Sherrilyn Kenyon I strongly suggest to you all to grab it at the earliest opportunity.
The only problem is that once you have read it, all the romances ... Read More:

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great start, poor finish
Sherrilyn Kenyon is an amazingly talented writer. I love her Dark Hunter universe, and can't get enough of the books. This book has a great start, with half Appolite Cassandra Peters, getting trapped in a bar with the souless Daimons about to dine on human souls and then Dark Hunter Wulf the Viking saves the day and gives the heroine a very hot kiss before disappearing off. But the character development is sacrificed because this particular books gives us so much information on the accursed Appolite race. So their relationship becomes the classic tale of forbidden love, and Cassandra Peters is just another 'damsel in distress' which is very disappointing for us readers who prefer more independent 'take charge' heroines. To be honest Sherrilyn ... Read More:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Sherrilyn does it again!
This is my favorite of the Dark Hunter series so far. It can be read as a stand alone book but I would advise reading the whole series. If you like your romance with a supernatural twist and your heros with a dash of bad boy then this series is for you. Zarek is an allegedly insane exiled Dark Hunter who is being judged to determine if he should live or die. His judge Astrid has centuries ago lost hope in mankind and all emotion. Needless to say this changes after meeting the brooding and exasperating Zarek. As the action heats up in sub zero Alaska the reader meets Daimons, Thantalos, Ash's pet demon Simi and some new Dark Hunters. Zarek also discovers that there are things in life worth fighting and dying for. A lovely read in one go story. Can't ... Read More:
