Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Blueprint for Murder of a Pontiff
Murder in the Vatican: The Revolutionary Life of John Paul and The CIA, Opus Dei and the 1978 Murders

In 1984, David Yallop's `In God's Name' did a riveting job in proving this Pope was murdered. In fact, no one is going to walk away from this book without the firm conviction this man was murdered. Nevertheless, through the years, Yallop's best seller has ignited a mass of `papal murder' literature, most of which like Paul Williams' `The Vatican Exposed' adhere to Yallop's convincing hypothesis John Paul was murdered because of his involvement in the Vatican Bank. There are a few like `A Thief in the Night' by John Cornwell which try unsuccessfully to prove Yallop wrong - that this Pope died a natural death. It is a tall order ... Read More:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - a book that will make you think!
I have heard about this a book a lot. But you never appreciate such a piece of research and literature till you own it, read it, think about it, and then realize what a scary world we live in.

This book is about crime, corruption, and power. It does into so much details that will make your head spin but you never feel lost.

You are there in the middle of the storm, and you once you are done with the book you will know for sure that you will never look at the world the same way again... and this why you should own and read this book.

The most interesting point is that after all these years, none of his 'accusations' have been answerd or refuted.
Scary!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Marvellous book
Just read this and my God, what revelations - I have several times visited Vatican City and been over-awed by the worldly and awesome atmosphere of the place so it doesn't take too much of a leap of credibility to know that what Yallop is saying in this book is quite true.

The connections with the Mafiosi, bent bankers and the biggest bent banker (untrained as a REAL banker, but the REAL God's Banker) of them all, Archbishop Marcinkus, who, incidentally died in the USA in 2006 - apparently as a revered and saintly priest - Ha! Ha! is quite phenomenal. I well remember the revelations in the eighties about Roberto Calvi, et al and am not surprised ( but I AM saddened) by all the machinations perpetrated by the Instituto per le ... Read More:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - If this book was taught in schools, HIV AIDS in Africa would be halved within a generation.
One of the largest corporations in the world pays no tax on billions of dollars worth of investments in every kind of commodity on the market. From weapons to contraceptive drug companies. But because the sacred heart of Jesus communicates via telepathy with men in strange hats, the centuries old cover-up has remained intact.

Yallop asserts that when in 1979 gentle, meek and mild Albino Luciani became Pope John Paul the first and began ridding the Vatican of these corrupt practises, the Mafia within the church had him murdered. Yallop goes on to ask only two things of the Vatican in their as-yet unforthcoming response. That firstly they provide evidence that contradicts his, that what the pope was holding in his hand when he was ... Read More:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Death of a Pope
Albino Luciani was elected Pope and chose to be Pope John Paul the First. Not only becoming the first double name in the history, but also appended the first to it. He was known as the "Smiling Pope" and though his reign was the second shortest in history, only 33 days, he was loved the world over. This wonderful Pastor would have taken the Church back to its Gospel roots where it belongs. He was truly a Man of God. And you could see from his 33 days as Pope that he would have been the greatest Pope ever in the eyes the world.

This book builds a very good case showing that Pope John Paul I was murdered, as many has always thought. It also exposes the corruption both within the Vatican and in the Diocese of Chicago during the years covered. ... Read More:
