I've seen the original French version of this, and can recommend this fascinating pictorial look-back at antiquity to anyone who likes to get a 'feel' for what olden times were really like. Archaeologist Golvin elegantly turns his knowledge into atmospheric watercolours that resurrect long-ruined cities and places. Don't miss out.
