Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - An Excellent Pocket Sized LifeSaver!
I just love this book. I first used it when I borrowed a copy from a friend when I went to Morroco on holiday (most Moroccons speak Arabic, Berber and French). I got lost more than a few times whilst rambling, and even just pointing at the translations got me back on track, (my french prounounciation is terrible!!) It was so useful that I immediately bought a copy for myself as soon as I got back. Small enough to shove in your back pocket or rucksack, very useful for tourists and an easy to read and look up format - when your lost and stressed or even just need to quickly say something foreign, the last thing you want to do is spend hours trying to look it up. Thank you Berlitz for such a great product!

Berlitz have done it again and produced the essential phrasebook and dictionary in French. Too many phrasebooks are filled with unnecessary and irrelevant information. A tourist doesn't need to know the technical ins and outs of the cheese making process, just the cost and how good it tastes! I particularly like the size and format of the book. Apart from its incomparable assistance to the English speaking tourist who wants to prove to the French that we do try and speak their language, it has a kind of aesthetic quality - rather like a CD over an old vinyl LP.
