Editorial Review:

Product Description:
BRAND NEW PAL Console.

Product Description:
The Game Boy is that small, colourful hand-held video game system clutched by folks playing it everywhere. Popular across a wide age group, including a good number of airport-lounging power executives, the Game Boy has a true hard-core fan base comprised of millions (and millions) of kids around the globe.

Nintendo's Game Boy debuted in the late 1980s and has since sold over 60 million units world-wide, far outpacing other hand-held game systems. With a catalogue of over 1,000 games and dozens of add-on peripherals, Game Boy is a monster of a hand-held game system, and a remarkably affordable one at that. Early March 1998 brought the release of the Game Boy Color system, an upgraded version of the original.

It is equipped with an 8-bit CPU, doubling the original Game Boy's computing power. The small LCD screen can display up to 56 colours simultaneously (out of a 32,000-colour palette), delivered via boosted video processing memory that provides remarkably sharp and vibrant graphics.

The hundreds of available games vary from tremendously compelling to instantly forgettable. Quality or not, the entire library of games designed for the original system is playable on Game Boy Color, but buyers should note that not all Game Boy Color games will work on the original Game Boy system.

The Game Boy Color system is available in an exotic array of colours and special editions. Accessories and add-on peripherals abound, enhancing the playing experience with vibrating feedback to in-game bumps and crashes, extra battery power and even a clever camera package that allows players to capture, tweak and print images.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - reunion
i cant afford a ds and i used to have a gameboy colour, then sold it so i buying another one becouse i remember how fun it was!!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Durable and Addictive!
This console is very outdated, but has a lot of good old fashioned stuff that the newer consoles lack - durabilty. During my playing of a year, I had bashed it around 50 times accidentally or on pupose. If I did that to a DS, it would break on first impact! One problem I have got with it is that there wern't many good games and only Pokemon was really good. I was addicted to Pokemon - spent hours on it...
Anyway, anyone interested in buying an old hand-held for nostagia value, this is the one for you (though I would reccomend the garish pink one I had). But if you are looking for the latest, you are looking in the wrong place!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Cheap As Chips, But Didn't Have It's Days!
The Game Boy Color was unfortunately, one of those consoles, which was released at a very late time, since it was out around summer 1998 and then within the next 2 years, came magazines with announcements of the new Game Boy Advance Console!

The Game Boy Color was built for Game Boy Games that needed to have colour technology, in order for the cartridge games to be played! The most particular reason why this console was bought was so that young ones can play the latest Pokemon Silver, Gold & Crystal Versions in realistic colour, rather than just plain black and white, which that lasted with us for about 10 years at that time!

The Game Boy Color also features little tiny gadgets, which include a built in headphone ... Read More:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent
While outdated now, the GB color was and still is a must for any hardcore Ninty fan. For its time, the console was a masterpiece, bringing the now famous names of Mario, Zelda and Pokemon into glorious 16-bit colour. Although the Advance, SP and now DS are probably better buys now, the color is still, IMO, one of the best consoles that Nintendo brought out.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Game Boy Color - Nintendo
This console was revolutionary when it succeded the original Game Boy. It is still a landmark console as all the others are because there is as of yet no rival to the handheld market. But this doesn't mean they are spin-offs. These consoles also offer a great inventory of games including Pokemon (which I dont play) and Donkey Kong. Buy this console if you like collecting things like this.
