At the vanguard of the disco-house movement which engulfed British clubs and hearts alike in 1999, Phats and Small made their name with productions that were unashamedly commercial and eminently danceable. It comes as no surprise then that the Brighton duo's debut album is resolutely upbeat throughout. Hip-swinging basslines and feel-good melodies are the name of the game here, with singer Big Ben lending his jubilant vocals to singles "Turn Around", "Tonite" and "Feel Good". Although they're never going to win any prizes for innovation (the string sample on "Music For Pushchairs" is brazenly pilfered from Armand Van Helden's "You Don't Know Me"), Phats and Small have wisely stick to what they do best and produced a disposable party album par excellence. --Ed Potton

This album is not bad but could have been a bit better. Music For Pushchairs features the same melody as Amand Van helden's You don't know me... The differance? Phats and Small Did it first! 4 stars for effort!

I was expecting alot more from this CD, however I was very disappointed. Turn Around was the only track worth having. So much so that I bought the CD single "Turn Around" inplace of the album.

I haven't actually bought this album yet but I do own all the singles and they really are good. Music for pushchairs has to be my favorite because it has that superb riff that was also used on Armand van Helden's "You don't know me". This is an album i really would recomend buying.

Brilliant. From the moment they hit their decks (and yours)you know its gonna be a phat one. The classic singles nestle happily alongside new and hopeful future releases. Worth putting on the Xmas list & welding to your player of choice!
