Before i got one of the i had a (realy old) SB 16 ISA. It was better!!!

For all it's (mostly useless) features, the SB 512 PCI has some serious problems:

- The sound (specially in some games) has more noise.

- The joystick get's stuck periodicaly

This might be driver problems or it might be hardware problems - then again, there are no new drivers from Creative for this board.

I'm going back to my old and trustworthy SB 16

This has to be the best sound card that i have ever used, i recently brought the Logitech Soundman sr30 speakers and this new sound card and they are the best entertainment system for my home pc that i could reccomened to anyone.

If you have an old set of speakers then upgrade to some new ones which have surrond sound capability, and then get this sound card computer games, listening to cd music, watching movies even on dvd, or the net, this sound card will deliver the quailty that you need!
