- Excellent! Sophisticated, inexpensive, and impressive results
This is a superb digital SLR! Ok, it's not one for the professionals, but for the vast majority of us going about our every-day photography it's very capable.
It has a great optical zoom lense, and you can switch between looking through the electronic viewfinder, and the screen on the back.
There are also manual exposure modes on it, but I rarely use these.
The resolution is adequate for photos and computer screen browsing without being so much that photos are slow to be transmitted.
In think all in all this is a great camera, and it's very affordable!

- Fuji Finepix S3000 Was A Disappointment
It looks nice and has a good specification for a non-specialist like me but I found it a bit disappointing. I could not focus it properly on things in the middle distance - it has no manual focus and the automatic one does not work properly. It takes hopeless shots of things at night with lights streaked all over the place. It has a tendency to take a picture which is a little to the right and down from the framed shot and this is not a shaky-hand issue. And one is never sure what exactly will come out when framing and taking a shot. What it freezes is not what comes out. - Good features, shame about the size
I bought this camera about 3 years ago when it was priced around £400. Obviously, over time the price has dropped and in my opinion, this camera is now well worth the £140-£150 price tag. The features are great, and easy to use and understand. The picture quality is fantastic and the 6X zoom is very handy. On the down side, I do find that it is sometimes a bit intrusive due to its size. It isnt the biggest camera by a long way, and it cetainly isnt heavy, however a small camera that fits into your pocket would be my choice, particularly considering the quality equipment that is now on the market.
All things considered, a fantastic camera if you dont mind the size.

- My First Digital Camera
What can I say..its an excellent buy for a first Digital Camera, I was never into photography that was until I bought this. If you want a Camera that is simple and easy to use then buy it. The picture quality is fantastic and the LCD quality is exceptional it has various modes these include Sports, Night, Scene, Manual, and Portrait I have used all of them and they are brilliant. The Macro facility is excellent I have taken some wicked close-ups of flowers...as you do when you are new to photography. All I can say is BUY IT, you be dissapointed, I certainly was not.The only down side is the optical zoom its good, but if you are wanting to take close-ups of wildlife, birds etc, then unfortunately the zoom is not quite powerful enough..how ever I ... Have this camera about 4 months now. Fantastic piece of kit. Use it as webcam too and it's wicked. The webcam image is very very clear - clearer than some webcams already on the market. As for taking pictures - picture quality is amazing.

Couldn't ask for a better piece of equipment for the money really!
