i bought this album because im am fan of star trek music and because of track 10 on disc one tasha's farewell from star trek the next generation..i havent seen the track on other star trek albums..its clearly that this album is not original.. when i listen to the originals and this one, there is a big diffrence..some tracks is fine, but it could be much better..
theme from ds9 is to long to be orginal..
and star trek the motion picture starts with the main title, and ends with the end title...the track is called star trek the motion picture End titles..
sound effects are not original..

On the whole this is a really good anthology of the various themes from the Star Trek films and TV shows (though it is 'unauthorised' - if that matters!). The main themes are all here with the exception of ST III, and the Prague Philharmonic does them justice.

However, my favourite theme is from First Contact. Unfortunately for some reason this orchestration has a strange rising electronic note just before the main theme which sounds like a police car going by - this just ruins the whole track for me. The same happens in the ST V theme.

On the whole a great, but imperfect, anthology of some of the most memorable Star Trek music.
