Excellent resource for those who want to start baby signing. Is great to sit down with your child to learn the signs (instruction booklet also enclosed) Loved the fact it was all based on British signing, (rather than American) Have found baby signing invaluable!!! It is wonderful for your 7/8mth child to 'tell' you what is happening in their world. (i.e seeing a plane, hearing a dog etc.) They can let you know if they want to eat/drink etc. My 3yr old now has an excellent vocabulary, and my 17mth There are many words which are clear, and others he still signs (it helps understand the baby babble!!) Along with the animal signs, sorry, please, more and all gone are the most popular. Can't recommend this highly enough. A must for all mums ... Read More:

I bought this video when my twins were 9 months old - thank God I did. It was the only thing they would ever watch on TV and was guaranteed to keep them enthralled for 45 minutes at a time. They absolutely love the programme and still request it on a daily basis months later. The music is lovely, they adore watching the other babies signing in the classroom and as for Jessie Cat - well ! - I had to move heaven and earth to buy one for them after they fell in love with her.

They did also learn the signs, although we did also do a class and my husband and I signed with them every day (just one or two signs at a time). We would never have been able to do it, however, without the video because hearing and seeing the songs so often ... Read More:

I had to write a few lines to share with others about this video and how much my son and I have enjoyed it. I have had some great two way conversations with my son that would not of been possible without the Signs we have learn't from this video. My son insists on watching it daily and surprised us all when he said he had pain (signed) pointing at his mouth. I looked in his mouth and noticed another tooth, as he has quite a few teeth already, I had not realised another was coming through. I could then reassure him and give him something to help with the pain. One happy baby and one happy mum!!!

This was better than I expected it to be in content but wish it had been longer. Presumably this is so one gets a taster for signing and is encouraged to then register with a class. My 15 month old watches and listens avidly and I cant wait to start the classes, although they start signing at 6 months.

The lady "hosting" the video reflects the spirit that "sing and sign" is all about. Using popular childrens tunes to familiarise us with the relative signs and using change in scenery and puppets to support the themes.

The length of the tape indicates it is more for the child, with a few guidelines to help the parent.

A good buy if you are serious about signing, but dont expect too much.
