Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Let down by the head
The tripod is not up to the job of supporting my K10D, which is hardly the heaviest body in the world.

The legs are solid and flexible and can be adapted to give a level platform on almost all surfaces. This is aided with the built in bubble spirit levels.

But, and this negates the point of having a tripod, the head wobbles. The platform for the quickrelease is plastic and flexes pretty easily. Don't even try and use the camera in the portrait position. I've taken 5 shots using the exposure bracketing on the camera, with mirror lock up and 10 second timer and the shots still don't line up.

Sure it is better than hand holding for a lot of occasions, but there is too much movement in the head.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - This is not heavy duty.
I bought this tripod around 4 weeks ago and managed to break it today. A small piece plastic has snapped which secured an arm to the central column. The tripod is still perfectly useable, but the leg in now less secure.

However I give it 3 stars as it's pretty cheap, and for what pay it's a great tripod. If you are looking for something to use on level ground for light use then it's perfect. Work of warnign though if you intend climbing mountains wading across rivers etc this is not for you.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great for only £20 inc delivery
I'd wanted to save up and buy a manfrotto 55 or similar. But couldn't justify/afford spending £120 then a head on top.
I saw this tripod on offer for only £20 and took the plunge.
It's very good. It surpasses other tripods for around £50. The legs are a good solid aluminium. Almost tall enough for me without extending the central column (i'm 6ft) and very sturdy. I lift the centre a little for it to be eye level. The legs have a pivoting rubber foot on the end to give a good footing. A spirit level on the shoulder helps if on uneven ground. The controls are easy to adjust and a further spirit level next to the camera mount helps the level again. The mount can flip 90 degrees for portrait shots. It can be locked anywhere between ... Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good Value but Not for the Professional
For less than £30 you get a tripod that does a lot. I bought it for use with a tiny digital video camera. I'm no professional and the tripod will receive only light use. For me, the product is ideal. However, if you are likely to put the unit to heavy use or with heavier equipment, you may want to think about spending a little more. The build quality is fine given the price and intended use. The carrying case is handy, the unit is easy to setup, easy to use and easy to stow away again. For the infrequent user with lightweight consumer equipment, you cannot really go wrong here.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent
I have to say, for the price I think the tripod is pretty much awesome value for money. I was surprised to find that it really is a stable peice of kit, with balled rubber legs to get firm grip, and thick sturdy legs to keep your camera sturdy. There are two spirits levels, one to adjust the horizontal and the other the vertical. This is the kind of tripod that can take its knocks, it's really nicely built and has thick knobs to tighten those moveable joints. The movements of the levers seem smooth. My brother spent about the same amount of money on a tripod about a year ago and it is no where as near as good as this one.

In any case, the sturdiness and reliability of it has its drawbacks. It is a little bit larger than other ... Read More:
