- Easy to use, and great value for money

I bought this to replace a previous Salter timer which had mysteriously gone 'missing'. This one's very similar, except that the alarm is louder and goes on for longer. That's very useful if you happen to step away for a few minutes. Also, the previous one was only audible if I was in the same room. But this model is quite high pitched, and I can easily hear it from 2 rooms away.

If you don't always need the alarm, you can save time and just set it to run, and it will count upwards. For example, if I'm cooking something that needs 2 minutes quick frying, I just press the start button and wait for 2 minutes to pass. This is only useful if you're in the same room though, and don't need to hear the alarm.

We had one of these for a couple of years. It does the job very simply and looks okay. What more do you want? Our little boy broke it by hurling it across the kitchen so we've now bought another one.

- Great little kitchen aid
Easy to use and very easy to read, particularly if you clip it to the top of a utemsil jat or something similar. The back has a magnetic section and this grip clip. Can be used one handed using just your thumb, even when having to press both the minute and second buttons together. So you can change a time while still handling a pan or whisk etc. The screen is not affected by kitchen lighting and the signal is very clear. You would hear it from another room. Very pleased with it and it looks smart, too. Goes really well in a kitchen with stainless stell appliances.
