Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - No gaps - all the best known stuff is here
If I may just add a couple of pertinent observations to the two excellent reviews already posted...

First one may be stating the obvious, but the collection is in chronological order, based upon the albums that the tracks are drawn from (there is slight variation in chart chronology). This bucks the recent frustrating trend among some compilers to take a more random approach and it's a definite plus point.

Secondly, all the tracks have been digitally remastered. The earlier material in particular now sounds brighter, certainly louder, though I can't make my mind up as to whether they're really any better.

I have the first Ferry/Roxy CD compilation dating from 1986 - amazingly I've seen it still available today ... Read More:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - At last the definitive collection
I know what some people are thinking - we've had plenty of compilations of Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music as well as re-issues of the original albums. However, the single CD compilations always missed out some hits because there were too many to include them all. This British compilation, covering Bryan's career to date, contains all their UK hits (including their minor hits) except for a re-mix of Let's stick together. You also get a nice selection of their other tracks.

Bryan Ferry, either solo or as lead singer with Roxy music, made the top ten of the British charts in the seventies and eighties with fifteen singles, all included here, and an extended play EP, the first track of which - a cover of Price of love, the Everly Brothers ... Read More:

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Another Ferry/Roxy compilation...
There have been many, MANY Ferry/Roxy retrospectives: Street Life, The Ultimate Collection, Slave to Love, More Than This & the Roxy-box-set The Thrill of It All (as well as the reissue/remaster of each Ferry/Roxy LP...several times). So do we need another retro?- er, not really. This collection has plenty of great stuff, but what purpose does it serve?- hardcore fans would have all the LPs, while those who want a single disc of the obvious have plenty of single-disc compilations.

The idea of the 'Platinum collection' is suitably vague- three discs (not two like the Sony Essential series)that take in a linear voyage of the Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry back-catalogue (though the Roxy Reunion Live LP is steered clear of- which suggests ... Read More:
