- Overall a good little piece of equipment, although...
Having had this MP3 for 2 years now I have made good use out of it so far. The positive points I would give it are the following:

1. There's a lot of memory space
2. Good sound quality
3. Usually very quick when syncing songs onto it

However, there are a few points about this product that I have had problems with over the last 2 years:

1. Sometimes when I press 'pause' it seems to think I want to play a different song from that artist and a different song starts to play
2. I have pressed the 'menu' button many times and the player automatically thinks I've pressed 'random'
3. My PC sometimes doesn't recognise the player when I connect them together

Mine has just packed up after 3 years and up till now i've had no trouble with it, the battery life was good, i used to charge it about once a week and i found the softwear easy to manage until we changed to vista. However
after being used nearly everyday it has reached the end of its natural life & has been replaced by a creative zen, the size of which makes my old zen touch seem like a house brick!

very good product lasted me about a year before it broke(due to unforseen circumstance of been drowned in beer at a gig)never had any software problems as i didnt use it mine showed up on my computer as a hard drive so i was happy got rid of the headphones after a few days because they were too quiet and replaced them with gummys (cheap loud and comfortable) amazing battery life 19-20 hours average for me touch pad was a bit over sensitive at first but after putting down to minimuim was perfect prefered it to the ipod circling round and round. the random button at the front good idea. overall good though i bought mine for about £100 2-3 years ago and to see it at almost 200 now is suprising but would buy it again without hesitation if i didnt ... - Not too bad player but hard to manage music
I have had this creative mp3 player for about 2-3 years, so its not a new player, I found it hard to manage my music as when I selected the artists name in the menu only some of the songs from that artist would show and others didn't. I had sync problems with my zen with the PC as it sometimes would crash my PC and lock up and I had to reinstall all the drivers and software before it would work. This happened on 2 different pc's on several occasions. Menu looks dull and hard to navigate. Yesterday I was upgrading my firmware and I knocked the lead and it just fell out, now it only enters recovery mode and tells me to run the recover tool off the creative website, Big problem is the recovery software for the pc doesn't recognise the player so I ... Everyone has pretty much said all that needs to be said so i'll just sumarise

i have had mine for over 2 years now while my mates have gone through endless i-pods that have either frozen or the battery power has significantly fallen- mine still gives me 20 hours (at full volume) at worst.

I have also noticed the volume to keep it's quality at the highest setting
which is something that always put me off the i-pods and speaking from what i've seen -could be coincedence with recording levels- but it appears the zen can actually achieve a higher volume

Admitidly it is pretty hefty, which is one of the first things people say when they see it, but if you go on a long trip and you're one of those who 'needs' ... Read More:
