- A praiseworthy effort
I bought this set on foot of Katy's work on the "Geribody yoga" video. I liked her teaching style and sequencing on that DVD very much. I wasn't disappointed with this set, but I do have some reservations.

First, I'll give an idea of the content of these discs:
Disc 1 is called "Freedom, Space, Flow", and contains a lying warm-up, sound vibration and chanting, seated warm-up, all fours warm-up, sun salute warm-up, sun salute, standing postures and guided relaxation/shavasana.
Disc 2 "Joy, Radiance, Bliss" has a short lying warm-up, intro to chakras and sounds, standing warm up, a 45 minute flowing class, backwards bends, twists and inversions and relaxation.

These three dvds are fantastic for yogis of all levels. Disc 1 is a good challenge for beginners, two for intermediates and three for those wanting a more challenging practice.

The best thing about these dvds is that Katy incorporates relaxation, meditation, breath work and chanting into the practice, which are some of the most important aspects of yoga. Until now I hadn't found a dvd which did this, and I've tried a few.

Katy's style is relaxing and tranquil and that keeps you grounded throughout the workout. Would highly recommend to you all.

- disappointed with the out-of-sync voice & movements....
I really like Katy's style and bought this set to provide variety from the Geri one I've been doing. However I find the audio being out of sync with the movements incredibly annoying and it makes it so much harder than it needs to be. I've been practising yoga in a class for 4 years so I do know what I'm doing but I struggled with this purely as I was getting confused with the sound - how is a beginner supposed to cope? I haven't tried the other two in the set yet and hope they won't be the same otherwise I'm going to feel I've really wasted my money as I can see myself just getting frustrated with it and preferring to do it on my own... It's a real shame and I can't understand why they have done it like that!!!

Really like Katy Appleton, she gives a fantastic workout that is really enjoyable.

Initially I wrote a review and gave a small critiscism saying that being new to yoga and to the dvd I struggled to keep up as I felt her instructions were not in sinc with her movements.

However, having now enjoyed the dvd for the past year or so I feel that was an unjust and unfair comment. When I wrote the initial review I had only done the workout once or twice, now that I have done it several times I do not have a problem with the syncronicity at all.

- Makes my yoga practice a pure joy.
Katy Appleton's teaching method is one of pure enjoyment. She is naturally calming, very clear in her instructions, and a joy to practice with. I've always enjoyed my yoga practice, but never as much as now, and I roll up my practice mat feeling totally revived, peaceful and calm. Each of the discs is set out in sections allowing you to choose which you do for each practice, or you can just follow through the whole dvd for a full and envigorating yet blissful workout. Katy covers everything from breathing, to chanting, flowing poses to some very interesting and challenging ones, and finishes up with meditation and relaxation.
