- Gentle, Beautiful, Whisper that gets its message out.
Studio Ghibli has built quite a reputation over the years as being one of the foremost delivers of Anime. Even in small Denmark Ghibli's movies have succeeded in entertaining the audience and now anime/manga is not as alien as it once was. Globalization has taken its turns and thank god for that. Ghibli has delivered yet another sweet and enjoyable movie that is far from the and maybe even above the average Hollywood movie. Whisper of the heart tells the story of the female protagonist Shizuku who studies at junior high school and reads a lot of books, which she borrows from the school library. After a while she recognizes that the same person has borrowed the same books, she borrows before her, and she intends to find out who this person is. ... Read More:

- Possibly one of the best ghibli films
I really enjoyed this film, despite having expected it to not live up to the standards of the other ghibli films. It is a heart warming story for all ages. A true classic. Would recommend.

This film has the same amazing landscapes and detail as all of the other Ghibli but seems to lack a storyline. The characters are exellent and likeable and although it is interesting nothing ever seems to happen. However, is still a great film.

- Cute, but not my favourite Ghibli film.
A very cute, feel good film, but not the adventure I was hoping for. The antique shop and the concept of following a cat you meet on the tram is endearing, but for me the overall film is a little too cheesy and teen/high school for my liking. But as always, the animation is great.

- Whisper Of The Heart
'Whisper Of The Heart' follows a school girls experience of first love and how it inspires her to follow her dreams in life. The animation is the usual high quality we've come to expect from any Ghibli film and this film doesn't have that surreal feel to it that 'Howls Moving Castle' or 'Spirited Away' engender. There are many moments where you'll smile or laugh to yourself and the story is sweet and charming. I found the ending a touch abrupt, but that is a minor flaw and doesn't detract from the overall feel or quality of this film. You should finish this film with a nice warm glow inside and also inspired to work harder at fulfilling your life's dreams. I know I did! Another great Ghibli film and well worth a viewing.
