- buy at your own peril
this is a product that either works or it doesnt; but you only know it doesnt after hours of wasted time on the phone at your own cost. The support is incredibly bad - they must get paid by how much time they keep you on the phone. after hours of failing to solve the problem they say you will get a callback but dont. In the end they blame your wiring despite the fact other products work. - I wish I had bought these sooner
I live in a turn-of-the-century Victorian terraced house (rented) with only one telephone point coming in at the ground floor. I needed to get my computer on the second floor online, and the only way I managed to do that was to put a 10 metre extension from the phone socket to my BT Homehub on the second floor. As a result, the broadband connection suffered, and the wireless signal downstairs was patchy. I tried to improve the situation, but any deviation from this setup would mean the loss of either one of the computers, or one of the telephones.

- Out with the old and in with the new!
I recently moved house to an old Victorian house and didn't really think much about what problems it would create with the PC network. Well, you wouldn't... would you? As soon as we'd got settled and everything was up and running (yeah, the PCs took priority of course!) I immediately noticed a BIG problem with the WiFi signal.

In the last place, the max download speed was 2mbit/sec and this new place allowed for 8mbit/sec so I was really looking forward to trying out this new found speed. Unfortunately, the WiFi connection rarely stayed active for more than a few minutes, cutting off completely for 5-10 minutes at a time. We have two of these now and they both work brilliantly with our BT Broadband router. We got the first one about 6 months ago and it has worked faultlessly with a laptop PC and recently we got another for a desktop PC. A miracle of technology!!!
