Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - oscar winner
this is the best digital camera you can buy.very lonh lasting. I have it for last four years

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent!
I have read some of the earlier comments about this camera being poor for street photography and candid shots - I totally disagree. I use this camera mainly for street shots and for pictures where a quick snap-shot is necessary. I have never had a bad image from it and rarely do I get out-of-focus results. I have not experienced the barrel distortion on wide angles or vignetting at the edges. Some argue that the video capabilities leave something to be desired, but I don't think much should ever be expected from pocket digital cameras anyway. The lenses are far too small and the data rates will be as well, until 32Gb+ SD cards become the norm. Camcorders are obviously equipped to capture the kind of clear video footage some users want, ... Read More:

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Wish I Could Better It
I've owned the Casio 850 for over a year now and still rave about it. I don't pretend to be a pro photographer but it has produced everything I have asked of it and more. Even the video is great - especially when played back through the television! The 'Best Shot' modes are great fun and take all the stress away from wondering whether one should change the White Balance, ISO or whatever else one should think about! Battery life is fantastic and my only grouse is that I really don't like the cradle system. A direct A/C lead would be a lot easier to carry around.

I've recently had a problem where the lcd screen blew whilst on holiday (possibility that it got knocked whilst carrying it on my wrist when I was walking around a shop) ... Read More:

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Excellent little camera
I have been taking photographs for over 40 years, but only recently went digital. I have always liked pocket sized cameras that did the job of big cameras and I own leicas, Zorkis, minoltas, Rolleis etc because I like quality and compactness.
Despite the supposedly less quality name this camera is the equal of the Canon Ixus or Powershot ranges, which I suppose are the nearest competitors. It is well made and very small for its capabilities. I haven't had the difficulties others have found with the on camera software, but I agree the supplied software on cd is total rubbish. I haven't counted that in my rating, as I don't use it. I expect if you didn't have other software to use it would knock it down a point for you. Even Microsoft's own ... Read More:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Buy
Purchased this camera as a christmas present and have been very very impressed with it. Having done lots of research and looked at numerous reviews via amazon customers (thank you!!!) for ages and only having had a 2mp one before I decided to go for the Z850 with 8.1mp, It is so easy to use on basic settings however I havent realised its full potential yet.It not only looks great but the quality of the pictures are superb. As regards to the video recording function I am happy with the quality and looks great on playback through tv.The only slight niggle is that it doesnt come with a detailed instruction manual but you can download this from Casio site.
Overall very impressed get it bought you budding photographers!!!!!!!!!!
