I bought one of these just over a year ago and all was fine -great player etc until it decided it wouldnt communicate with my pc anymore if you put in a search on the internet you will see i was not alone very frustrating having a player you cant load -samsung were about as helpful as a chocolate fireguard -so there is the warning -I have since bought a sony walkman and as of yet no problems and it plays video as well good luck.

Like many other people my Samsung YP-Z5 just decided to conk out overnight. Files disappeared, computer won't recognise the device, etc etc. Like others, Samsung have been totally unhelpful and judging by what I've read here, I won't even bother fussing around with their repair centre. I guess I should have invested in Apple all along. Avoid Samsung - total waste of time and money.

i have had two of these players..one for me and one for my parner..both died in a year..as described by other reviewer...simply it just died.pahaps it was a good thing it was a nightmare from the moment i got it...yes it sounded good, yes it was easy to use but using windows media player to load up music lost me hours of stressful time - i would go for a drag and drop every time...
also worth mentioning is my player died with the first year in addition to its final death..i have to say samson were very helpful and gave me a number to get a replacement off amazon..they had declared it dead..but next morning it was working fine again...so unreliable to say the least.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Songs disappeared and won't connect to PC
I bought this item in Nov 2006, and like a lot of other people it seems, all my songs and playlists have just vanished (except on Browse Files) and it won't connect to the PC either, so I can't charge it or try and download the songs again.
I bought this because I thought Samsung would be reliable.
