Writers equipped with LightScribe technology allow the same laser used to burn data to a disc, to burn text and graphics to the other side of the disc (label side).This means that rather than writing the content of the disc by hand, you can use tools such as printers and stickers. Users can also get images in slikscreen quality by using Verbatim CD/DVDs with the optical laser block of their writer.To use this new technology, users must own a writer that employs LightScribe technology, as well as compatible software and supports.

- Usual Verbatim Quality
I've always been a big fan of Verbatim discs and am a regular user of Verbatim CD-R 100 pack spindles and Verbatim DVD+RW 4x 25 Pack Spindles , so I was very keen to test out my new thermal printer with their lightscribe discs. Happy to say that they were up to the usual Verbatim quality, perfect burns and printing came out great.

These discs had no problem with writing (up to 20x) and printing on both my laptop (Matshita) and desktop (LG) drives. The Infiniti discs would not print in my laptop drive, and although they did print in the LG drive, the quality was not as good as with the Verbatim which had a less transparent print layer and had greater detail and contrast than the Infiniti. You should make sure you have the latest lightscribe system software from lightscribe and ideally the latest firmware for your DVD drive. Note that these discs are DVD+Rs which may not work on older (pre 2004) DVD players (the equivalent DVD-R spindle is code 43643).

Bought these as I was getting a new laptop with a lightscribe dvd writer. However, the discs weren't recognised so I had to revert to a pen.
