I am a big fan of Aphex Twin type music but wasn't sure where to start with artists and producers. I hear good stuff at clubs but never know what it is, and anyway most of it seems to be on vinyl or mixed. But I knew about Planet Mu (Mike Paradinas' label) and this CD is exactly what I was looking for.

There is a real mix of styles as the previous reviewer notes: from ambient stuff, some dub step (which I'd normally hate), to glitchy beats, drum n bass, and bursts of crazed gabba. However it somehow fits together rather than feeling disjointed, so as well as being an excellent introduction to Planet Mu and a whole raft of artists, it's a very enjoyable couple of CDs to listen to. This is an Excellent value compilation. Less than six quid for twenty four tracks. There is a good selection of drum and bass a bit of dub step some ambience, techno and at least one track of grime which I enjoyed.
It seems a very underground compilation as I had not heard of any of the artists on this album. Excuse my ignorance if they are better known. Overall I would recommend this album to anyone who is looking for something abit experimental and less comercial in the above types of dance music I mentioned.
