I guess this is a little early on to be leaving a review for this Item as I've only just got it, and so I may be back to update this review in time, but as I was so pleasantly surprised an impressed upon immediate operation, I thought I'd leave one anyway!

This is made of a much higher quality than most other small virtual pets I have seen. It has a touch sensitive area on the front below the screen, and looks and appears very durable. It's more 'substantial' and is much bigger, and even the graphics are clearer to look at. The Instruction Booklet is in perfect English (which makes a change with these things) and very comprehensive and done in much and easy to understand detail. The pet is much more animated than ... This is a brillant toy, you grow quite attached to your furry friend. I have the dog one, his name is Toby. In fact, he is right beside me on the desk, barking and looking for attention.
The screen is not touch sensitive, there is a lil touch sentitive pad under the screen which you use to communicate with your lil pup.
It comes with a lanyard so that you can take him everywhere and not worry about him falling out of pockets, because he's safe and sound around your neck!
he is not as annoying as a tamogotchi, which half the time you just want to throw out the window after one day.
