Interesting reading these comments. Can anyone actually help me though - I am a person that reads manuals, however I got it as a gift and the person that bought it for me lost the manual. Can anyone let me know how to actually use the machine?

- Surprisingly good for such a low price
I really am amazed by this machine. I'd been looking at buying a Gaggia espresso machine and, as usual for me, I'd done a lot of research online trying to find which one to buy and finding out the ins and outs of making decent coffee at home. Most of the information I read on the coffee geek sites suggested that you get what you pay for and you could only get good espresso and frothy milk from a machine costing £200+.

I'm not suggesting that the coffee you get out of this is as good or better than those expensive machines but it's certainly very good. You can use either ESE pods, which are widely available online, or the Senseo ones that you can get cheaply in any supermarket. I followed the instructions and my first espresso ... Read More:

The machine is working very well with espresso pods, however the water tank has a strong plastic smell and makes the coffee taste plasticy. Does anyone know how to alleviate this problem?

Do not know why anybody have a problem with this machine. Coffee cup not fit, try moving the nozzle up.....it adjusts. Machine drips, yes that why there a drip tray, coffee cold, well why do you think there is a steamer that heats milk, or will produce hot water to heat cups. I think some people should stick to instant coffee and a kettle. I have used proper ground coffee machines, senseo or the uno uno machine, the kenwood is good if you want something inbetween the hassle of ground coffee machines, and say a senseo with no control.

If you read the instruction then you have no hassle. This a great machine.

What a great machine at a great price. Got mine for 35 quid - that's half the price of the Senseo & Nescafe offerings - and it has more features.

The Milk frother / steamer is a great addition - you can make great latte's and amazing cappuccino.

I really don't understand why other reviewers complained:

"....drinks too cold"...
what???....your supposed to prime the machine first ie. let a cup full of hot water run through without a pod.

"the cup platform is not wide enough for two standard size dinner coffee cups"...
wrong, your meant to use slim cups - or if it's such an issue make 1 cup at a time!
