- Does Not Work With iPod Touch 2G!
The product itself seems to be of good quality and for the money is a good buy, if you have older iPod models. Hence the 3 stars.
But beware if you have a 2G Touch this does not have full functionality. In fact all you can do with it is play music through your hifi. It does not have video compatibility which is no biggy but the main problem is that it can no longer charge your iPod. Apple have changed the build in the 2G Touch and therefor all that happens is that you get an error message when you place your Touch in the dock stating that this product cannot be charged!
Which is a shame. But if you have previous models I would recommend it.

I bought this item in good faith that it did 'what it said on the tin' but found out pretty quick that there're video out problems with both the classic and the touch. This is really not clear even in their own manual. Will stick to Apple products next time. Would have given no stars, but that's not an option.

- Almost perfect
This is an excellent product which has saved me having to burn cds, which I have alway found (unlike commercially produced cds) deteriorate in quality over time. The only reason preventing me from awarding 5* is that the output signal strength is considerably lower than the signal output from a cd player. It is however stronger than a phono player output, thus preventing passing the signal through a phono amplifier. All this means is that changing from cd player to IPod and vice versa requires significant changes to amplifier volume.

Still I wouldn't be without it, and would buy another if required at any time.

- Does the job, and pretty good for the price
This little dock does everything I wanted it to do- it conveniently and discreetly sits my iPod next to my hi-fi, and charges it while it plays, with no fuss.

The best features are the in-built volume settings (which are independent of the iPod's headphone volume socket), and the extra buttons on the remote such as 'next album' and 'next playlist' which are useful buttons considering they're not on the iPod itself.

On the down side, the video doesn't work with my 30Gb 5th gen iPod, but I wasn't too set on using that feature anyway. Also, Logic have put a constant blue light on the front of the dock, which is permanently on. I found this a bit annoying so I've put some black gaffer tape over it.

- Does what I want it to do
I bought this dock to work in conjunction with my Black ipod 80gb Classic.

It does everything I want it to do. It charges the ipod and I have it connected to my Hi-Fi via the 20 pin ipod connector at the rear. This means the sound and volume are controlled via the amp and this is of a fantastic quality.

I haven't tried to connect it to the T.V to watch movies because I download DVD's to my ipod to watch, not the other way around.

My only gripe is it doesn't come with an adapter to take the Classic so I've had to use the white adapter that came with my ipod. It doesn't look too bad but a black adapter "might" look better.
