Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great fun!
I loved this game, the graphics to me are a bit funky but they're not bad. I love how you get the baby characters and that they give you a different power depending on which baby it is you're carrying. At the moment I'm stuck in world 2, which is a bit embarassing but it is quite hard! I don't think I'd be whizzing through it like I did with New Super Mario Bros... Still a good game to have in your collection though!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - As with the first, starts off great, then descends into bore
I liked this game to begin with. The graphics are simply gorgeous and shows off what the DS is capable of perfectly. The gameplay is, to begin with, easy and imaginative. But it it quickly gives way to tedium by about the third level.

The problem is that it doesn't really change much and you end up doing more or less the same damn thing in every level. There became less and less need for me to go back to the game. I like new things to constantly crop up and develop through the course of a video game, even in a simple kid's game such as this.

Much like the original Yoshi's Island, that I played on my GBA, this game starts off great with loads of color and cuteness, but fails to keep it all interesting.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Yoshi goes wild!
I think this game is AWSOME! sometimes though it is a bit hard. I thought it look colourful and fun so i got it for christmas! i was really right! it's a really good game and i would probably recomend it to 10-11+ 'cause it is quite hard, i even find it hard but then again i'm not very good at platform games! (but i still enjoy them!)

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Eggscellent
Yoshi's Island on the Super NES all those years ago was a challenging but addictive game that was utterly fantastic. Yoshi's Island DS is very similar in terms of levels bur with new features, new characters and the advantage of dual screens.

This game doesn't make use of the stylus and you find you can get through the first few levels with ease. Egg-throwing is the same as it was before, the stars = seconds and red coins and flowers are all still here, but you also have the option of changing the baby- to Peach, who can help Yoshi float on air currents, or Donkey Kong, who can climb vines and ropes. Wario and Bowser also appear- the former has a magnet that can clear metal blocks for you, the latter can spit flames to melt ice. ... Read More:

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - a dissapointment
A huge fan of the original Yoshi's Island i rushed out to buy this when it was released. However i am very dissapointed with it. The game is too similar to the one before so that much of it is boring for those who've played the original and feels incredibly slow paced. This makes it boring and levels seem excessively long. The addition of new characters are meant to add replay value but just frustrate me. If i mangaged to hop over several tiny platforms to a high up ledge i don;t want to be then told, no i can;t have that flower or coin, i have to be DK not Peach. I also found some sections on the levels incredibly tricky too the point i was throwing the DS around the room. A game shouldn't do this to you.
I don;t want to end on a bad note. ... Read More:
