This is a good box of five cds spanning the years 1936 through to 1950.There are 121 sides here,thats approximatly 60 ten inch discs worth of 78s for,at todays prices approx £16,had you bought these back then I think you would have been lucky to have collected them all.These have been remastered from the Joe Bussard collection,this guy has literally bought up every available disc over the years,and most of these JSP sets come from his collection.

The Blue Sky Boys were Bill(born October 28 1917) and Earl(December 16 1919)Bolick,with that surname I guess thats why they sang under a different name.Ther father grew tobacco and worked in a textile mill in Hickory,North Carolina.They began playing traditional tunes,by 1935 Bill was ...
