- Stephen king heaven! Worth your money!
Im a huge stephen king fan and couldn't wait for this to come out. Not all the stories are horror but most are creepy and tragic. 'Battle ground' was the best and 'the fith quater' was probably the worst. Some episodes are more miss than hit, but always entertaining and there is something for almost everyone. Each episode is quite different, there is some great acting, great special fx and always enjoyable. All in all, this has some really unmissable episodes and a particularly creepy one named 'road virus heads north'. A neat and entertaining series, perhaps the best £25 i ever spent!

- Age is not the best counsellor in the field of horror
A miniseries of eight short TV films adapted from Stephen King's rather recent short stories. They are all in the style of the famous Twilight Zone serial but never as dark as the old model. In fact Stephen King in these short stories was trying to use different styles from what he is most known for, horror and terror. So most of the time he did not try to terrify his audience, at most horrify them, but often gross them out, and barely more. So hardly any real violence and extreme fantastic violence. Rather soft estrangement from standard life and the ordinary world of ours. We are thus surprised, disquieted, worried, but never anguished nor frightened. NOT STRICTLY HORROR, BUT THIS SMALL SERIES IS GREAT NONTHELESS, THERE ARE TWINGES OF H.P. LOVECRAFT IN CROUCH END BUT THEN AGAIN THAT WRITER HAS INFLUENCED SO MANY OTHERS. NOT BASED ON THE ENTIRE BOOK OF SHORT STORIES ENTITLED NIGHTMARES AND DREAMSCAPES IN FACT SOME ARE FROM ONE OF HIS OTHER ANTHOLOGIES. THE ACTING IS GREAT AND THE QUALITY IS AWESOME THIS IS KING TV AT ITS BEST.
