- At Last......
I've spent money on VOIP phones and with VISTA bugging with them all the time decided to buy the Netgear. Plug in and use it - how easy? I'm impressed with it despite the dodgy ringtones. There aren't any alternatives yet unless you want to spend £100's. So if you want a phone that's permanently logged into skype regarless of computer being on this is the phone for you.

I had to send this back after a year. Too many people kept asking me if I had a problem with my phone as the quality was appaling.

When I spoke to NetGear, they told me I had a reconditioned unit as there was no serial number on the back. NetGear's support department passed me to their customer services, who 'for my convenience' operated a call-back facility. Basically, they try once, leave a single message and then it's up to you again to call them again 'at your convenience'. It took 5 attempts to speak to someone over a week only to be directed back to Amazon. Poor show for a customer services operation.

Amazon were supposed to refund me a month ago, but haven't received money yet! So, I'd like my £95 back ... Read More:

I have had this phone (with extra handset) for about a year.

As soon as I bought it I identified a number of issues, some of which have been discussed in other reviews. I have raised all of them with NetGear support and none of them have been resolved. I have dealt with many 'bad service' organizations before, but NetGear's support of this product is special in that it is exists as bunch of resources (off shore) but it does not exist as support. People acknowledge the support requests but never, ever address the problem. They also have a neat trick whereby they close the request automatically after a period of inactivity (their inactivity).

- Works a treat and saves you pounds
This phone works a treat for outbound and inbound skype calls. This phone saves me 75 quid a month on international calls. Clear call quality with no delay around the house, good battery life and easy to set up.

no problems to report of. only thing is the speaker is very weak.
as we use the speaker function quite a bit.
