I bought this kit hoping to recover data from 3 hard drives extracted from my broken PC and a laptop (2.5" and 3.5" IDE drives, sizes from 80GB to 250GB). I was not sure what to expect as for some other similar products on Amazon reviewers complained of power supply problems and hard drive incompatibility.

I am very pleased to conclude that within minutes of receiving the kit, I've managed to connect all 3 hard drives (one at the time!) without any problems and then managed to easily copy all data onto my Windows XP laptop. There was no driver to install for XP, I've just wired the hard drive to the right end of the connector (and for the 3.5" HD also connected the power supply) and then just plugged in the USB end of the cable ...
