- Superb Game Once you update your video card driver ( Nvidia Driver 178.24)
5 months ago I bought this game and I have to return it because was only running for 30 seconds . It was the first time that I was experiencing some game problems on my pc. After some consultation and a new and update on my video card drivers, I m able to run the game with no problems, the problem was when this game came out ( Nvidia Drivers were not compatible with this game )Now is the time to buy it , once you install an updated video card driver .

- Good gaming...once set up and bugs fixed
like many others i had a problem with starting this game. it basically wouldn't run for more than 30 seconds. but once the problems are fixed (i used the forums) it becomes a great game. A must buy if your willing to save 30 mins of your time sorting the thing out!

Small technical difficulties aside, this is a great port. The graphics have been enhanced for PC and look great, and the gamplay in certain parts is brilliant; the cover system and regen-armour also make it refreshingly original. The only negative comment I can think of is that I was kinda relieved when it was all over:)

- Shoddy quality control spoil an otherwise enjoyable game, Microsoft and Epic should be ashamed of themselves
It's unbelievable to think that Microsoft or Epic bothered to test this game at all before shoving it on the shop shelves to make themselves a bit of cash - the "save game" errors are so glaringly obvious that you'd have to be the most moronic beta tester not to have noticed them.

I played the game offline, choosing not to connect to Windows Live due to all the problems I'd already read about it. I updated my game using the Title Update patch, and STILL the game proved a nightmare...so the patch doesn't solve the problems...well not for me...and I have no problems with any other games, and have a system that can run Crysis, so it's definitely the fault of the game.

- Don't listen to all the negativity from everyone this is a great port!
Epic Games put there hands in the air admitted that there were some MAJOR flaws with the Gears port to PC.

There was constint Game crashes, Saved Files disapearing, Very Bad Lag on a high end PC.

These problems have now been remedied thanks to a patch that Epic Games released through the Gears Of War website, But not everything was fixed sadly.

People still reported of game crashes, "Stuttering"..ETC

There are many home remedys that people have found on the web on how to fix these problems just by modifying a few files in the Bineries Folder.
