- Great value,easy to use.
Our 5 year has just purchased herself one of these. We have had trouble getting our pc to accept it but the laptop with vista recognised it straight away.

Our 5 year old has found it easy to use and the clip means she can't drop it, though we have had to change the earphones to headphones as they do not stay in her ears.

All round a cracking bit of kit,would reccomend.

Pros:
* drag and drop to add / remove music
* tested in XP and Ubuntu
* can store ordinary files and music at same time (ideally make a separate folder for files)
* compact
* bright screen (OLED?)
* auto-scan FM with presets
* record from radio or mic to WAV (aka dictaphone)
* auto power off and sleep (configurable)

Minor gripes:
* occasionally closes (confused by some tags?) but has a soft reset which doesn't delete files
* good sound quality (at 256Kbit MP3) but would like it to play AAC also (future firmware update maybe?)

ps. If you are old enough to have taped top 40 off the radio you can do it again with this listening to the oldies on radio 2 :)

Bought this player as a present 4 a gym going friend who isn't into all the hype and tech around Ipods.

After a good 4 months of use its still goin strong and I've only heard good things about everything from size to battery life.

The flexibility of loading by drag and drop or Media player sync is something most big players no longer boast but which the Clip has kept.

Finally, the sound quality is great especially for such a small device, comparing favourably with my much larger (and more expensive!) Creative Zen Vision.

A great buy all in all!

this little piece hardware is at best average and at worst a waste of money. the battery is relatively weak, it is not compatible with my computer and it does'nt hold enough songs for my needs.

I bought this to replace a Sony MP3 player which had dissapointed me. This did nothing of the kind! Compact, attractive and easy to use i was blown away by the sound quality from such a tiny unit.

The clip is great for sports activities and i use the radio on a daily basis.

The sound quality has to be it's biggest plus point. Even with a naff pair of headphones you get enough volume to cover the loudest environments. On my old Sony, if i took it outside i couldn't hear a thing even on the loudest volume setting, on the Sandisk , the loudest setting is actually too loud!

A great bargain.
