Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Can a sequence be as good if not better than the original?
You bet it can. Especially if you do not view them back-to-back. Usually the first in a series is fresh and surprisingly different. It is not an easy thing to keep up the momentum. Well in "National Treasure II" they added momentum. It was great keeping all our old friends and seeing how they progressed. It is not that Mitch Wilkinson (Ed Harris) does not make a good villain, but I was sort of hoping that Ian Howe (Sean Bean) would have escaped to create more havoc. This film was packed with great actors but I think that the character Prof. Emily Appleton (Helen Mirren) was a double plus good edition.

Basic story is that the Gates family is once again besmirched by the mysterious Mitch Wilkinson. And the only way to clear the family ... Read More:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - one of the best films of the last few years!!!
it has everything that you could possible want; action, adventure...
a true seat gripping expreience which ends in a dumdumdum about page 47 which leaves room for a third instalment!!
right from the start it grabs your attention and keeps your mind thinking and wondering what will happen next... can't wait for it to come out on dvd will be BRILLIANT.
it is definately worth buying!!!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - I liked it - as good as the first
I was surprised that the second installment of N.T was actually good. Usually sequels are very poor with lazy writing. N.C is not known for doing second films but this rare installment is very cheesy but is definitely not a let down. Its fun with a steady pace. It has all the ingredients of the first but with an expanded cast. It works well, Hlen Mirren did good. Therefore, I would suggest that fans of the first definitely invest in this.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Splendid (if a bit daft) romp in the Indiana Jones style
National Treasure 2 is an unusual sequel in that it out-performs the first film. It follows the same format of a globe-trotting treasure hunt with Nic Cage as the slightly daffy professor on the track of an historic mystery. However, NT2 positively gallops along from one clue to the next, dashing from the USA to Paris to London and back again -- just in time to burgle the two most well-protected buildings on the planet and then kidnap (!) the President.
NT2 isn't a serious film but it does have a very serious cast and an edge-of-the-seat director. So Cage is well supported by the likes of Harvey Keitel, Jon Voigt and Ed Harris (who plays the bad guy. Well, sort of. You'll see!). NT2 probably takes huge liberties with actual fact and historical ... Read More:
