- shame about ac adapter
This is a really good sat nav, not gone wrong yet anyway.... my biggest problem is it runs out very quick, you can charge up with car and also I do with computer but I would have liked an ac adapter.... has anyone bought the adapter from anywhere as I would like one.

Still when you hack it with "tom Tom" its even better, you get loads more voices too

I bought this a while ago (before it was for sale on Amazon) whilst i was looking for a widescreen satnav device that was under £100.

Pros:
Cheap, Big screen, hackable (i.e. TomTom), works as an audio/video player

Cons:
Turbo Dog software is terrible, no AC charger.

If you are able to hack this device and install TomTom then you have a top device on your hands.

Note this device uses the 'industry-standard' SirfStar III chipset which means it would perform as well as the equivalent TomTom device, if it didnt have a slow processor.

Worth its money (and it's cheap).

purchased navigo turbodog v5.0 not a bad system but i now feel i could of got alot better you search for ages for a web site but could not find one to support this product you dont get speed camera alerts, the volume at full is hard to hear if you have window open or someone is talking in the car the maps are good but all in all wish i had got better wouldnt recomend

The unit it a nice piece of kit and by the feel of it well built. The arm unit secures it very well to the windscreen as does with the unit with a very easy clip on clip off system. The screen is clear and bright, awesomely easy to navigate GUI and the Navigation software included works really well. I can genuinely say this GPS has out performed my expectations so far After an hour charging, it was ready to go albeit with only 3 satellites, so not a good fix (indoors) but outside hand held it gave me my correct OS map reference. I feel this unit will need some practice though to operate quickly, but the touch screen is so helpful. Overall its got to be one of the best value widescreen units on the market.
