Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Slightly let down....
This book didn't really do it for me; I had expected to like it, based on the fantastic reviews below, but I found it distinctly average. I am not sure if it was the combination of the somewhat unlikeable characters, or the fact that the book seemed to be at times a corny discussion about love. Or maybe a combination of the two. I have to admit that the author succeeds in depicting emotion and rivalry between four sisters, but as a whole I found the book was just 'ok' and ultimately rather bland.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Funny...Moving...a great read I couldn't put it down!
I picked this book up in a hurry at the airport and it is one of the best impulse buys I have purchased. I was hooked from the very first page and it made me cry on the first page too.
This book is moving and made me cry but it made me laugh too. It was excellantly written and you really felt like you know the characters.
It also made me think, how we take for granted the ones we love the most and how much we should tressure every day we have with them as we never know what is around the corner!

So in short fantastic and a must read!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A lovely read.
I didn't know what to expect of this book as I'd never reading anything by Elizabeth Noble and only picked it up as part of a three for two deal at Waterstones. From the title I thought it might be a bit cheesy and predictable but I was wrong. I really got into this book and didn't want to put it down. I think I could really relate to the characters in the book as either myself or my sisters or friends have experienced many of the same relationship issues.

The actual content and storyline of the book has been covered by other reviews so I will just say that this was a really emotional and lovely book to read. I thoroughly enjoyed it and loved all the characters.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - More about the journey....
I think Elizabeth Noble has mastered something that only few writers ever do. She has managed to make the entire book worth reading. The book is not - like so many - one where you could flip to the end to find out what happens. It is the journey the book takes you on which makes it worth reading. I found myself savouring the book, as opposed to rushing through it.

After reading her other books, I expected it to be good, yet it still suprised me how much I enjoyed it. Personally the heroines annoyed me a little at times because of their flighty nature - but that's what made the book a journey so I wouldn't mark it as a downfall.

Simply a great book which explores loss and relationships, especially the complex one which exists between a mother and daughter.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - very moving, highly recommend!
I started reading this book on a long train journey and the first chapter literally had me holding back tears so people wouldn't look at me funny. My tip is to read the start of the book at home! The rest of the book isn't so tearjerking, rather it becomes a very interesting look into the sisters involved in the plot, their personalities and relationship dynamics.

Highly recommend this book - really makes you appreciate your mother and family.
