Books : Change Your Life in Seven Days (Book & CD)

Rating: - A good addition to changing life
I recently suffered a nasty setback and after the event I made a vow to change myself. The steps I took where to have laser eye treatment which has been a success and to change my life. I saw the book and instantly wanted it so I bought it. It has blown my socks off with the new lease of life I have got from not wearing glasses any more, the whole system is bringing me the results I want.

I am feeling more confident and now I look forward to what is coming with anticipation. My new found confidence is paying dividends already and the CD is excellent, I come out of the session feeling full of vim and vigour, ready to face anything. Other people have noticed the changes in me and I get plenty of positive comments!

The reader from Leeds who pummeled the book I say that he/she must remember it is not the book that changes the person, but the person changing themselves. The exercises in the book are a way to help you on your way. Do not be a cynic make a real effort to change yourself!

Rating: - Way Too Superficial
I read many self-help books when I was suffering from mood problems and felt disillusioned with life. Actually, despite what many other reviewers have said, I found this one of the worst and the least trustworthy. One of the main reasons for this comes in the introduction to this book. Paul Mckenna states that this is a self-help system that works for everyone. Of course it doesn't otherwise every clinical psychologist in the world would be out of a job.

Also I found the tasks in the book stressful because they were sometimes vagually explained and sometimes impractical too. I think that the book tries to be the answer to life for anyone who reads it but life is too complex to be boiled down like that and no book can ever be suited to everyone.

This system may be good for the encouraging messages, but I have found other self help books which were much more realistic and useful for real problems.

Rating: - a chance to mull
The book came up with a lot of ideas that you know are common sense. The process of just reading it gives you chance to think about where you are coming from, where you are going to to, and who you actually are. It is a good opportunity to contemplate, if you generally spend your days trying to get on with life and its challenges, and don't give yourself enough time.

Rating: - amazing - convincing - really changing life!
I agree with all the other reviewers. This IS a life changing book.
I think I will take a little more than seven days, because I really enjoy practising the self-confidence building exercises. Even if you don't really believe in "all that stuff", try it, because it's packed with lots of good information to make you feel really positive. Paul Mckenna does not judge, he gives hope, achievable hope as well. The book is practical and I felt pleasantly boosted at the first few words. p. 12 "here is the reason why change can happen so quickly: the changes that matter most are more often changes in perception than changes in the world outside us. and we can change the way we perceive the world in a heartbeat"
The CD is quite a booster too! I listened to it and felt marvellous. There's no hesitation. This book will definitely change your life and make it better. Buy it, do it, and smiiiiile to life! Highly recommended!

Rating: - It can happen to you
I think this book will make believers out of non believers. You can change your life and amazing things can follow. This is a very well done book and program, especially since there really are not too many good books in this category. Another amazing book that utilize some of these concepts is called The System by Roy Valentine. It focuses on a male oriented subject matter but equally an amazing work.
