Rating: - More Inspirational stuff
Having had a brief chat with her when she once visited us on Jersey, I have been keenly following her progress.

This book had some truly inspirational and imaginative recipes. The ones I have made have al gone down very well indeed!

Rating: - fantastic, pity about the macaroni cheese
I have all of Nigella's recipe books and had to add this one to my collection, so I pre-ordered it. The only recipe I've made so far is macaroni cheese, and it wasn't very nice. In fairness, I make a mean macaroni cheese myself, so a quick version couldn't really compete. Despite that, I've given the book 5 stars because my mouth waters as I read the recipes and although I love cooking, it's fantastic to have new ideas for quick dinners, which I'm sure will be yummy.

Rating: - My personal favourite
Of all the many many celbrity chef's on our TV screens and in our bookkstores Nigella Lawson is by far my favourite. As cookbooks go this is probably no better or worse than any of the others. I liked the recipes and the pictures made the meals look great, but what sells Nigella to me above everything else is simply summed up in one word - class. She's the only celebrity chef not openly slating her peers. Some of the other unpleasant celeb chefs could learn a thing or two. Taste is an important thing and bitching about your rivals leaves a bitter aftertaste. Not so here though. Great book.

Rating: - Yum!
One word describes this book for me...YUM. From the gorgeous design to the mouth-watering photos to the chatty style of Nigella Lawson's writing...this is a book to sit and read for pleasure, as much as it is a 'recipe book' to be instructed by.

There are thirteen sections to the book, with chapters covering speedy entertaining, breakfast in a hurry, superfast soul food, instant Italian etc. There's a good range of recipes with starters, snacks, drinks and puddings all getting plentiful coverage. (The desserts - including Irish Cream Tiramisu, Totally Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies, Ginger Passionfruit Trifle and many more make this book worth the cover price alone!)
The one thing I'm not keen on is the occasional snap of Nigella in her pjs but I'm still going to give it five stars. Delicious!

Rating: - Express isn't necessarily a bad thing!
We all adore (or want to be) Nigella in our house! We love time spent fiddling around with a zillion ingredients, gallons of cream and a dozen eggs BUT this is fabulous too!!

I have two children who love tasty food (who doesn't?) and I needed some new ideas for quick meals! You will find plenty of them in this book and your kids will love trying out some new flavours!! Popular with my two are the white bean mash, chicken schnitzel with bacon and green eggs and ham (frequently accompanied by the Dr Seuss story of the same name!).

Don't be put off by the "Express" element of the title! This is a great book with just enough Nigella chat to also make it a good read when you're not cooking.
