VHS : Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble - Live From Austin, Texas [1983]

This video covers two different shows at Austin Texas. It is interesting to see Stevie Ray in the first show almost nervous ? don`t know if thats the right word. When you compare him in the second show there is marked difference in his presence on stage, very assured and relaxed. As for the musical content, what can I say that`s not already been said, stunning , brilliant and a true guitar great. That goes for both shows , although I really like everything that SRV did the best parts of the tape are, for me anyway, Tightrope,Riviera Paradise and Texas Flood. But it`s all brilliant, no more than you would expect from this Texas Bluesman. There is also a bonus section of Little Wing, but I was dissapointed with this as I was hoping it would be of SRV playing it live . But it is him playing over a collage of Fenders being made,and footage of Hendrix and others. SRV is still up there with the top guitarists. It`s good to see him perform on stage for people like me who never got to see him whilst he was alive. If your a fan buy this video, if you haven`t "tried" Sevie`s style of blues before , treat yourselves.
