Rating: - The second chapter of Yuzo Takada's masterpiece
This is overall a great series, one of the best I have ever seen in the fantasy/horror genre of Japanese animation, I am writing this review because the other reviewers I have read on this website say that they feel the earlier episodes are the best of the series, but I feel they are all equally engrossing in plot and action, the latter maybe more so in the later episodes. While the first part is fast-paced and brilliantly introduces the main characters. The later half however, exhibits excellent character development and throws an interesting plot twist into the epic saga of a demon girl's quest to become human. While in the earlier episodes, it is Pai who is always having to protect the clumsy and almost-helpless Yakumo, with their separation he becomes more independant and less of a supporting character role as he accepts his destiny and begins to live up to his role as Wu, protector of Pai. Also, the martial-arts action sequences are well-animated and nicely diversify the action, whereas in the earlier episodes it is dominated by grand magical battles of titanic proportions. Overall, a great story, though due to the mature subject content and gallons of spilled blood, with some nudity, this series is suited best for an adult audience, or at least mature teens.

Rating: - The final part of a very well produced manga epic.
This is the final part of the 3 x 3 eyes epic. It is time for Yakumo and Pai to try and stop the ressurection of the great dark lord Kuei-Yan-Wang. If they fail then the dimension of man shall surely be destroyed. Pai is the last of an immortal race called the Sanjiyan Unkara, she is the only one who can hope to stop him, but can she remember who she is in time to stop him. Yakumo and his friends travel with Pai to the City Of The Sanjiyan Ukara. Here Pai will find out what happened to her race and who she really is. As the final battle draws near the forces of evil gather their strength to stand against the good that opposes them. Can even the strength of Pai stand against this ancient evil, and will Pai finally learn what the secret of the bright light really is?

This is a superb finale to a superd series. The dubbing has been very well done and the plot and ideas that have been thought up really contribute to making this one of the best manga productions in recent years.
