VHS : Walking And Talking [1997]

Walking and Talking is a film that can be watched countless times and still leave you feeling like you don't want it to end. The characters are all so familiar that you feel you can relate, yet unique enough to make the story interesting and keep you thinking. The life-long friendship of two women is shaken when one of them gets engaged. The story stays balanced on both but shifts slightly to the perspective of the character played by Catherine Keener, who is still single. Her learning to come to terms with the fact that her best friend is entering a phase of life that is still foriegn to her is the crux of the film. While it seems a feminine tale, the movie is cooky enough to get your attention and moments of the film will make you giggle for a while after enjoying it. Though a small movie by cinematic standards it remains clever and has incredibly memorable moments.
