VHS : The Lion King [1994]

Rating: - Wonderful film and package
What could i possibly say about this film that you don't already know?
Touching, adventurous, brilliant bad guy, hilarious, oscar winning music, and it just goes on and on!
A marvellous opening scene, introducing you to the vast african savanah and all it's wildlife. The King's first has been born:
A lion cub called Simba!
Now for the plot, The king's( mustafa) brother Scar was to be next to rule the lands until Simba arrived, and now he must plot to get rid of both of them. I won't say what happened next because if you've had the bad luck of not having being able to see this film yet, i'll not be the one ruining all the twists and surprises.
THIS IS DISNEY AT ITS BEST!!! No argument, this film can only be rivalled by the other greats such as snowwhite, or pinnochio, or the more recent classics: Beauty and the beast, little mermaid, etc.
Even if you haven't seen this film before, i advise you buy the DVD(something i usually don't recommend) you will watch it over and over again, enjoying it just as much every time. But in the end it's up to you. If you're looking for an animated feature, i suggest you don't even think of the latest disney's ( Not that they're not very good also, but this is just plain better)
And if my description of the film isn't enough, just take a look at the long list of DVD extra's ( see DVD description above) some of these are worthless or just kiddies games (this is, in the end, a disney!), but the rest is a deep insight to how the magic is created, which i find very interesting and i'm sure you won't mind finding out either.

I love this film. The only problem I have with it in fact is I can never decide if it is my favourite Disney film or if Aladin is...I think it's this! It is such a sad and yet uplifting film! The songs are so happy and catchy that you can't help but dance and sing along to every word! Buy it, it's a must have in your disney collection!

This walt disney masterpiece takes you deep within the depths of Africas Wildlife.The story is about a young lion cub named Simba-who embarks on many adventures with his friend (Nala) and his father Moufasa (who is the king of his pride land).When Simba and Nala sneak off into the Jungle they come across dangerous hyenas it is all up to Simba and his friends to fight them off but fortunately they are saved by Moufasa.Meanwhile Simbas evil Uncle-Scar has other ideas (to kill Moufasa)-it is all up to Simba to save the Prideland when Moufasa dies and fight for his rightful place as King.This Disney masterpiece is full of laughter and gags,so go on and and add this to your collection, because this film (Disney) will remain one of the best fo many generations to come.
