Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A '70s classic
I saw Rocky Horror at Leicester Square the day after it opened in 1974 and it's remained a favourite. Sure it's dated, but that's exactly why it's so brilliant.
And I've been to enough fancy dress parties to know no man will ever look as good as Tim Curry in make-up and stockings!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - So what if you're a sexually repressed accountant?
And yet, "Red Rob", in Shaun of the Dead (from the Spaced team) there is a discussion about dressing up as Frank (it's particularly in the out-takes). Don't let your opinions be formed by others, that is one of the themes in Rocky Horror. Although Spaced is pure class and I can't believe it's now so old. It's ok to have your own opinions and mine is that Rocky Horror is true entertainment.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I'm glad I bought it
I have heard so much about it...cult-status and all. I was a bit reluctant to buy it at first. Cult-status usually means, either you love it or you hate it.

I'm glad I bought it. I love it. I knew Tim Curry was an excellent actor, but I've never heard him sing before. He's equally good in that area. The songs are very good, it's almost incomprehensible why they never appear on musical compilations. I would definitely go see the musical live if ever they decide to stage it again.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - a work of genius
I think that the Rocky Horror is a film you either love or hate- there is no in between. There have been occasions when I have watched it with a large group of people, and some people say things along the line of 'what is this rubbish? what is the point?', whilst the others are staring mesmerised at the screen, a look of wonder on their faces.
I am one of the latter. I cannot put into words how much I love this film. It has THE best lines ("I could show you my latest...obsession. I've been making a man with blond hair and a tan, and he's good for relieving my...tension"), it has THE coolest transvestite in the history of the world, THE best songs...and it actually makes me laugh so much every time I see it...
True, it is a bizarre film and the plot is basically non-existant. But never boring. How can something with cannibalism, crazy dances and transvestites from Translyvania be boring? It is a classic, and I recommend it to everyone in the whole world. Don't try to understand it. There is nothing to understand. Just sit back, and wallow in its lovely crazyiness.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Not for the faint-hearted
I saw this last year and whilst I loved it immediately, I was pretty shocked. It's hard to not be shocked by a doctor dressed up as a woman, doing a Frankenstein's monster and the Time Warp(possibly the best dance EVER) all in the same film. Yet whilst you may not approve, you find it hard not to be mesmerised by it. Some of the dance sequences are fantastic, and Meatloaf's cameo is inspired, and who can begrudge Tim Curry the honour of being possibly the best silver screen transvestite?
The pure hammy-ness of it is brilliant; it's a musical, with a science fiction twist, in a horror movie-esque setting with some absolutely hilarious one-liners. But it can be pretty uncomfortable viewing: it's one of those films where you laugh so much you have tears in your eyes, but all the while you're thinking, 'I really shouldn't find this funny.' And sometimes, the jokes go so far you really can't laugh at all, because it's just such a horrible thing to do or say. All the same, this is a fantastic film, if you can make it through without having to switch off from, well, horror, but even so give it a try for the Time Warp scene!
