Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Bennifer sings pap
I admit I am something of a J Lo fan, but I was hugely disapointed by this disc. I bought this because I liked Jenny from the block and loved All I have, but the rest of the album is a huge let down. Still and loving you aren't too bad, and I'm glad is quite reasonable, but Dear Ben brought her credibility level down to minus figures. Laughable lyrics (I love you, you're perfect, the manifestation of my dreams. Yeah right) has reduced this CD to one long ode to Ben Affleck, which she probably now wishes would just bugger off. The second half of the album is poor, I can't even remember some of the tracks, it just passes in one long sick bucket requiring dirge. Nearly every track contains some sort of 70s sample, or is a cover, and this album suggests to me that she was getting a bit desperate for inspiration.

I sincerely hope that Jennifer finds her way back to the J.Lo days as I really did like her, but this album is such a big let down I would have to think long and hard as to whether I would buy her next effort.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - The Mind Boggles
I don't usually do negative reviews, but I find it hard not to when listening to this woman, and looking at the success she gets through awful music, with her awful voice, keeping the real talent out.

Now its going to be easy to slate this short review, but keep this in mind - i am looking at ther music, not her body parts which I am afraid to say are her only asset.
How anyone can buy this album and enjoy it for its musically content is beyond me.

"Jenny from the block" is the worst single I have head in many a year. It is up there with the likes of a "Cheeky Girls" track. "Jenny from the block" was quite rightly put in the top 10 of the worst pop singles of all time on a Channel 4 top 100 list.
"I'm Glad" is soppy, well produced but damn right awful - why? because Jennifer Lopez cannot sing.
English talent such as Terri Walker and Beverley Knight can sing. But they are not movie starts who have big budgets to make major videos and marry movie stars.

Jennifer Lopez is a fraud - her voice on "Baby I love U" is nothing short of a joke. When listening to it, I thought someone was having me on. What makes it worse is I believe a good vocalist could really do something with this well written track.

Why is she called rnb? Rythem & Blues is what it stands for. She has money so she can do what she wants.

But as a soul music fan this album, her voice, and her ego makes me wonder how on earth she has the success in the music business she does.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Baby I Luv U - sound familiar ?
While everyone's raving about the 70's feel to some of the funkier moments on this album... That's because certain 60's & 70's tunes have been ripped off.
The opening riff in 'Baby I Luv U' is so similar to the theme tune to the film 'Midnight Cowboy' by John Barry, Jennifer must surely have his permission to copy it?

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Jenny from the Block?
J.Lo's first album was a mix of soul and r'n'b that tried to protray heras a sexy, cool singer. Her second album had a more hip hop edge thattried to convey her as a credible artist. What the hell went wrong here? The album seems all over the place and the end impression that you getfrom it is that she's a woman obsessed ith love. She's tried too hard toappear normal and down to earth on this record, and it's alarminglytransparent. This album is just a marketing ploy to broaden herappeal.
Still 6/10:A mid tempo, just ok opener, it prepares you for the changethat you'll get on this album.
Loving you 5/10: The music here is unintentionally hilarious and thevocals are so obviously touched up with computers or whatever that youjust want to skip it.
I'm Glad 7/10: I kinda like this song, it's probably one of the few songson the album that you can believe that J.Lo would have sung on herprevious records. The video is cool.
The One 6/10: An upbeat ballad that's lyrics could have been written by an8 year old, despite that the overall sound is good, if a little'poppy'.
Dear Ben 4/10: Stupid lyrics, but the music at the beginning is quite deepand harrowing, i like the cello. Very silly though, and funny sincethey've split up now.
All i have 8/10: Undoubtably the best song on the album, probably cos it'slike J.Lo's old, rap/r'n'b style. You can tell that this was meant to be asingle, cos it sounds like some efforts gone into it. The video's cutetoo.
Jenny from the block 6/10: Clever song- loadsa publicity for it, andtherefore the album. Shame it's not actually all that good, it comesacross as kinda false. The music is quite cool, you could dance to it.
Again 5/10: A drippy ballad that has a way too long piano intro. like amuch slower version 'The One'. A 'filler' track for sure.
You belong to me 5/10: I think this is an attempt to appear reallyinnocent and put upon, to squash diva rumours, and to seem like someonewomen can relate to. Shame that all you really think about is how bad thesong is. It just doesn't work.
I've been thinkin' 4/10: Filler track, but it shouldn't even be that. Whathappened when these songs were being written? They all revolve around badrelationships, snooze.
Baby i luv u 7/10: A suprisingly good track, a good single choice. It'snot like anything you would have heard J.Lo do so far, it's like somethingyou'd hear in a cocktail bar or something. Quite grown up.
The One (2)6/10: Not that different to The One (1), i think the musicsound a bit lame at times.
I'm gonna be alright 8/10: Finally! Some of the old J.Lo that we know and(used) to love. Cool beats, lyrics are average but Nas sounds wicked. Ifonly she's had more tracks like this.
Overall, Jen has attempted to sound down to earth, normal and friendly bymellowing her music and making it more ballady, big mistake. J.Lo israp/hip hop/r'n'b singer, don't fix sonething that ain't broke. I can'thelp but wonder, what'll her next album be like....

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Jenny!!!
