Rating: - What an amazing piece of software
Imagine it, you have Windows XP Pro running on your computer, typing a word document, listening to a few tunes; and in the background, minimised SUSE 9.1 is installing quietly without hogging too many resources. Not only this but in another Window I'm testing out a program on Windows 95, and I could even boot up a MAc if I wanted to! All from my desktop.
Gone are the days when you had to buy a new PC (or hard disk) for each OS you owned. You can run them all off your desktop, at the same time! Server, Windows, Linux, OS/2 it supports nearly all of them, and they can even see each other; and perform just like real PCs.
Excellent for customer support teams, software developers or PC enthiiasts; it is a great 'baby-in-the-bath-water' program. Have multiple operating systems o your desktop simultaneously. Test your new apps, hook a 'Virtual PC' to a server, without affecting the rest of your network, simulate a client help and support request problem, and all without restarting your PC, or complex partitions! Brilliant, simple and effective. Why aren't all MS products like this?

Rating: - Superb software and excellent value
If you're working in a test environment this is for you. If you're a budding MCSE or likewise this is for you.

Being able to run multiple OS's from your desktop is something that has been available for some time with VMWare but it has always been very expensive. Microsoft has a product here which gives superb value for money.

You can run Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0 Workstation, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP, MS-DOS®, OS/2 Warp Version 4 Fix Pack 15, OS/2 Warp Convenience Pack 1, and OS/2 Warp Convenience Pack 2,Linux, Novell NetWare, and others. Applications such as Office, Money, Dreamweaver etc also work as normal.

The only things that goes against this is that your USB devices which need their own drivers can't be installed, graphics cards also can't have their own drivers installed but they're seen and work okay and SCSI devices don't work in the Virtual Machine.

That said, all in all a superb product and well worth the money!!
