Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Wireless nightmare
I don't normally write reviews... but after the pain I felt in getting this thing to work I felt compelled. Service was ok, in that the item arrived a week or so after order went in. No doubt I didn't read the description properly but the modem came with no power adaptor, no manual, CD or cat 5 cable. So, I set about purchasing/downloading these separately. When I had everything I needed (took a while - you try searching for a power adaptor for this thing) I couldn't connect wirelessly so had to use cat 5 cable. A long story short is that about 3 hours on the Belkin support line later I was finally in business. They were very good and very patient although still frustrating having to repeat everything you say twice as the call centre is in India, or somewhere near. The modem still doesn't connect automatically when I reboot my laptop. It also drop the connection regularly (VERY annoying)

A lesson learned, you get what you pay for.

I am an IT professional with 15 years experience in the industry. The whole experience made me wonder whether I should try my hand at something else, like being a dentist (pulling teeth)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Linux - This works well.
I have Linspire a type of Linux on my machines - works very well.

A number of other people's problems may be due to failures in Windows not Belkin.
Installation easy and works well.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good for a while
It worked very well and i could have my playstation 2 and internet running at the same time. However when i connected xbox live it would last for a few hours then lose power completely. It would also change the i.p adress so i would have to make a new internet connection every time i swapped between my laptop and xbox live

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Very pleased
The reviewer below this must have been very unlucky. At the moment I an on line next to the router, my son is on the top floor playing on-line games and my laptop is downloading some pictures down stairs. Every thing worked well once I'd discovered it did not like my network bridge at all and I had to disconnect my local area network completely from this before I could connect to the router log-on page.

I live in a three story house and the signal is good in every corner. Excellent value.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Unreliable waste of money
Do not buy this router. Although it sounds good it's totally unreliable. Belkin try to be helpful and supportive but the wireless side of the router is a waste of time. Within 7 of installation you'll be spending hours trying to get the damn thing to connect. Check which wireless routers your ISP support before buying anything like this. If still not convinced try a search for Belkin 7630 and read some of the other horror stories people have experienced.
