Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Too fragile
Brought two of these for my teenage children. They scratch very easily and look shabby within a few days. On one of them, the screen went within a month and it had not been dropped or sat on. Apple say they will not change a broken screen under warranty. The cost of replacing the screen is more than the Nano cost!

The Nano would be a great item if it was made out of decent plastic and the screens were reliable. My advice is buy a regular MP3 player and save money and hassel.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great (in Black)
This is the best ipod out at the moment. Black is much better than white. You can also store photos on it aswell. An mp3 player just isnt an mp3 player unless its an ipod.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Great, if you get one with no screen problems.
The ipod nano is a fantastic re-invention of an already stylish and popular gadget. On paper and in some instances in practice it works very well as the tiniest mp3 device on the market. There really is a lot to praise this product on. So why is it that apple are selling sub-par nanos to consumers? The answer is that the ipod has grown so popular in such a short space of time that that little phrase "quality control" seems to have been filed under Not Important. The question is, why should someone spend over a hundred pounds on an item that will break after 2 weeks of ownership? The answer, they shouldn't. After this happened to me (the screen scratched all over after 2 days of very careful use) its a wonder why apple have not approached this problem with a louder voice. They promised to fix any ipod nanos with broken screens. Have you been on their website? I couldn't find anything mentioning a warrantee. Impossible. 5 stars go to Amazon for sending me a replacement so quickly (I bet I'm not the first).
If you wish to buy the latest stylish mp3 player then this is it. But be warned. Buy a good quality case for it before you start using. You may be one of the few (or perhaps many) that get a defective nano.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - iPod Nano:
As soon as I saw the iPod Nano being advertised I really liked the look of it and how small it could be. As I was saving up for it I saw many reviews on how easily the iPod Nano gets scratched easily and how the screen can break. Luckily, the bad reviews didn't put me off buying this incredible item!
Yes to a certain extent the reviews were correct about the Nano being easy to scratch, (so are mobile phones but that doesn't stop people buying them!) but investing in £20 for a selection of covers will stop that straight away. The Nano is sturdy and [touch wood!] my screen has had no problems.

The sound quality is exceptional but it does also depend on the headphones aswell. The headphones with the iPod Nano produces good sound quality.

Its not impossible to fit 500 songs on the Nano but you may find it hard! It won't take up much memory but the album/song art picture that is displayed next to the song does take up memory too, so if your only interested in putting as many songs as possible on your Nano then don't use the album/song art.

The iPod Nano is almost perfect for me! There is only one thing that is stopping it getting 5 stars from me and thats its battery life! I'm not being particularly picky but it certainly doesn't last 14 hours! It lasts a good 6 hours with the volume quite loud and having to keep changing songs. If you do buy this mp3 player I recommend you create a playlist of songs you want to listen to and hopefully you won't be in a loud enviroment and can listen to it with relatively low volume!

If your looking for an mp3 player to put your favourite songs on then i definetly recommend you buy the iPod Nano, eitha 2GB or 4GB

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Sell a kidney for one.....
I reluctantly sold my lovely iPod Shuffle in order to buy the Nano but now i really dont miss the dear little thing one bit. You think you can do without a Nano until you hold one in your hands for the first time and marvel at the slim supermodel beauty of it. It's lovely...no...really lovely. The 2gb model has more than enough room for me personally. Viewing album artwork as you listen to your favourite tracks is also cool. I found the process of putting album artwork onto iTunes somewhat fiddly but p'haps that's just me... I would recommend some sort of silicon cover for your Nano as you only have to look at it wrong to scratch it. Oh? and do buy some decent earphones. Shure e2c's are the ones i always use and i cant recommend them highly enough.
