 - So disappointedI loved this camera for its ease of use and compactness. The video is really brilliant even in low light conditions. However, after 15 months the autofocus has gone kaput and the camera is unusable. Contacting Canon has not brought any response other than a request to fill out a customer satisfaction survey! Very disappointing. Rating:  - Great CameraI have no complaints about this camera at all. Had the camera for quite some time now and would not be with out it, it's really easy to use. The camera battery lasts a long while, the camera produces clean & crisp photographs, great colour. I have used this camera several times in Manhattan and had some impressive scenery shots, also does great famlily shots & really good macro shots indoor & outdoor, idea for desktop background! I have been more than happy with the results from this camera, only lacking in zoom! Having recently purchased a new camera as I need one with a greater zoom. I would have gone for the new Ixus but have opted for the Panasonic DMC-TZ3 hope I am as happy with that as I have been with the Ixus 750. Having just come back from holiday with this camera taking pictures of Polar bears I still think this is a brilliant little camera, okay it's lacking in zoom but nothing else, got some great pictures and cracking videos of Polar Bears, the lanscape from a moving vehicle, a dog sled Ride and Niagra Falls, very easy to hold still with out much shake and able to zoom in and out, you can almost use this camera with one finger at times! Rating:  - Parson's eggI only use my camera to take snaps - mostly when I'm away on my hols and wouldn't say that I'm an expert or experienced photographer. I'd had an Ixus v3.0 for several years, which I loved using and was constantly amazed at what it could do so I really looked forward to taking even bigger and sharper pictures with the new camera. I've got to say that I have been slightly disappointed. With the old ixus I'd taken night-time snaps and been shocked at how well they'd turned out, with the new camera I was more shocked at how long a time-lag there was whenever I tried to take a night-photo - although it took some really good video of a fireworks display. Apart from that photos just don't seem to come out so sharp as they did with the old camera - which is a bit strange. It has several new modes that you can use if you wish - most of which I can't imagine when I'd need to use. The battery-life has improved, the bigger screen is an improvement, but not sure whether it's solely because my age is advancing(or maybe I'm drinking more) but judder seems more of a problem than it did with the previous camera. Despite my negative comments I've still taken some nice photos and it still has the advantage of being able to just fit in a shirt pocket so that it's always handy when you want to take a photo. Rating: - If Anyone Can Canon Can!!!My first compact digital camera and what choice it was. It travels with me everywhere. Nice, stylish compact design, fits snugly in any pocket. Easy to use, lots of features to play around with and superb quality images. I would have preferred more manual controls, but that was soon forgotten. I have taken far more photos with this Canon IXUS than I have with my Nikon SLR. Good weight and balance, intuitive design, easy to use, good LCD screen. Excellent camera and Excellent value for money Rating: - Not good for red eyeHaving purchased this product when it first launched- i have to say im overall impressed with it- the quality of the photos are great and its easy to use however my main gripe is with red eye- this camera doesnt do aenought o get rid of red eye- it has a red eye reduction mode but even this is no good especially when its pitch black, also it should have an imgae stablizer function- when its cold and your frezzing your back side off- the camera doesnt like you moving around even if its a cm here or there. Personally buy this camera if your on a budget and want a decent 7mp camera but also think about spending more on a digital slr which has a better flash otherwise try a top end powershot model or the ixus 900ti | |
